Station Hand

Evora is a Cattle breeding / backgrounding property comprising 24,400ha, situated 45km north of Blackall in the Blackall-Tambo Region.

Evora is a part of the privately owned Aminya Pastoral, a forward thinking and progressive family-owned business with a strong focus on improving the ecological and environmental capacities of its holdings, whilst investing in staff, WH&S, and animal welfare.

We have a permanent full-time position available for a motivated, forward-thinking station hand. Preference will be given to experienced persons who have livestock and some machinery and general farm maintenance skills, with a solutions-based, can-do attitude.

The position offers long term opportunities within the business as well as the pastoral group.

The successful applicant would have the following attributes:

• Excellent livestock handling and husbandry skills with an emphasis on Low Stress Stock handling.
• An interest in soil health, biodiversity and pasture management.
• A strong commitment to animal welfare.
• Ability to muster with UTVs and working dogs.
• Machinery operation and maintenance skills.
• General farm maintenance, welding and fencing skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
• Desire for advancement within the agricultural industry.
• A commitment to working safely in accordance with Aminya Pastoral’s WH&S policies.
